All children should have the opportunity to learn through playing in the outdoors. Nothing stimulates a child's imagination and enthusiasm more than a memorable "hands on" experience.
Outdoors, your child will be free to explore boundaries, take risks and make decisions on their own learning activities. They will gain skills that will help them be more resourceful, reciprocal, resilient and reflective learners back in school.
Every school is different. But woodland learning sessions should take place frequently over a whole year. Your child should experience how their particular woodland changes in different weather conditions, from season to season.
